How slipforming at Petroplus works

Starting with the shutters on the concrete base, the platform moves up by 25mm every 15 minutes.

The platform is strandjacked off the main reinforcement, pushing itself and the whole structure attached to it upwards.

Guidewires maintain the circular cross section of the structure. Eight lasers are fired up from the concrete base to targets on the platform to make sure the tank is keeping to its intended design shape.
