Antony Oliver's Comment (NCE 1 December) makes me wonder whether the article was written cuddling a hot water bottle and illuminated by candles.

Concern at the legacy of nuclear power station waste is understandable but we should appreciate advances in design of new era nuclear stations and ultimately Fusion Power.
