ICE news

ICE president Douglas Oakervee presented Lord Sainsbury of Turville with an honorary fellowship earlier this month. Lord Sainsbury was awarded the fellowship 'in recognition of his contribution to the development and promotion of engineering in the UK'. He is currently parliamentary under secretary for science and was central to the establishment of the Engineering & Technology Board (ETB), commissioning the report to investigate the future of the Engineering Council which led to the formation of ETB in 2002.
