Heathrow T5: 21st century air travel

The magnificent and space age Heathrow airport Terminal 5 opened on 27 March after six years under construction. The £4.3bn steel and glass structure demonstrates all that is exciting about civil engineering today. The area used to be a sewage works and is now one of the world’s finest airports, ready to receive the largest and most modern British Airways planes in operation today.
