Health and Safety Minister

Health and Safety Minister Nick Brown this week urged owners of commercial and public buildings to start preparing for the new duty to manage asbestos regulation that comes into force on 21 May 2004. From that date those with responsibilities for the repair and maintenance of non-domestic premises will have to find out if there are, or may be asbestos containing materials within their buildings and to learn to manage them safely.
