Gunman kills 30 at Virginia university engineering department

At least 30 engineering students and lecturers were shot dead by a gunman at a Virginia university in the deadliest mass shooting in US history
The rampage began at around 7.15am when an assailant killed two people at a Virginia Tech university dormitory.Two hours later, the gunman descended on the engineering department's Norris Hall, killing 30 and injuring 26 others before killing himself.Virginia Tech has 26,000 students, many from Asia. Witnesses have described the Norris Hall gunman as Asian, but Police have yet to confirm the gunman's identity or whether the two shootings were related.
