Groundforce snaps up two more companies

GROUNDFORCE bought two more firms in the past month, continuing the aggressive acquisition policy that has seen it notch up a tally of seven in three years.

One of the firms is laser and survey manufacturer Sokkia, which is expected to boost sales by £3M over the next year.

The other is Shorco, bought from Certas, a subsidiary of the Peterhouse Group. It has an equivalent product range to Groundforce and depots in Glasgow, Chesterfield and Andover.

The latter will remain an operational and distribution centre. Glasgow and Chesterfield will be absorbed into Groundforce's network.
