Ground Probing Radar 2008 Conference

DIARY

Birmingham University will host the 12th GPR 2008 conference and exhibition in June 2008. This will be the rst time this biannual event has been hosted by a UK venue, which since its conception in 1986 has travelled to every continent. The meeting is co-chaired by Professor Chris Rogers of the Civil Engineering department of the University of Birmingham and Dr Richard Chignell, founder and technical director of Pipehawk. GPR is a relatively new geophysical discipline with applications in ground engineering, civil, highway and railway engineering, geological investigations, UXO and utility detection, archaeology and forensic science. Further details for submission of oral and poster presentations and the associated technical exhibition can be found at www. gpr2008. org. uk
