Ground force

Lafarge Readymix has acquired the franchise in the UK for the Bomanite pattern-imprinted concrete system.

Lafarge Bomanite is a practical, cost effective system which allows a range of decorative paving and flooring textures to be achieved by imprinting into ready mixed concrete.

The system is claimed to be particularly suited to public pedestrianised areas, traffic calming, arcades, paths and parks.

Stone, paving, cobbles, tiles and even wooden flooring effects can be created, it is claimed, and floorscapes can include logos. The product comes in a range of 25 standard colours and is said to be vandal proof and unaffected by mechanical cleaning. It is also, says its maker, maintenance free, as weeds cannot grow through it.
