Ground engineer Mike Hassall appointed to head up Wardell Armstrong

Engineering and environmental consultancy Wardell Armstrong has announced that it has appointed Mike Hassall as its new group managing director.

Hassall joined Wardell Armstrong as a graduate engineer in 1981 and specialises in site investigation and land remediation relating to mining, contamination and waste issues.

“I’m looking forward to continuing to grow our business, especially overseas where we can build on our strong position in international mining by offering energy, waste, environmental and other services,” said Hassall. “I am keen to develop our culture which is based on technical excellence, developing long term client relationships, rewarding our great staff and delivering exceptional value for our clients.”

Hassall takes on the role of managing director from Colin Brown who will continue as a director and become non-executive chairman.
