Grass is greener on the upward side

I have a suggestion for the problem of grass that won't grow under roofs (NCE 8 February) - install jacks under the pitch and raise it to roof level. When it rains the grass gets watered and you can play to your hearts content under the new roof.

Tongue in cheek perhaps, but if they can slide it out the side, why not upwards?
