Good news

Letters

I was delighted when watching the evening news here in Scotland that two of the three top stories were connected to the work of civil engineers.

The first report had an excellent update on the Glendoe hydro power scheme, with a discussion on its merits and the difficulties in finding suitable sites.

The second report was on roadworks on the M8. However, instead of concentrating on the disruption, it focused instead on the benefits that such work shall bring.

I get the impression that our profession is slowly getting the merit it truly deserves.
