Good for trade

Products & services

Siteman has extended its works order management facilities to meet the requirements of both contractors and consulting engineers. The new module is fully integrated into the powerful Siteman cost management, works order, valuations and site administration software suite, the company says.

One of its key features is the ability for consulting engineers to trade electronically with the contractor. Works orders are sent to the contractor electronically, and he acknowledges receipt in the same way.

The order is then allocated to a gang and a track/measure sheet is produced. Once the work is done, a completion notice is sent and a valuation submitted. These are electronically transmitted with the engineer's certification to provide an agreed valuation. As well as managing the workflow of orders, Siteman eliminates the vast paper chain that fixed term maintenance contracts produce, it is claimed.
