Nick Lane has been appointed Midlands operations manager by Morrison Construction, part of the Galliford Try group.
He joins from G F Tomlinson & Sons of Derby. Lane's experience includes numerous schemes for Severn Trent Water. In his new role he will be responsible for maintaining relationships with existing clients and forging relationships with new clients.
GCA (UK) has appointed John Illingworth as director of its Leicester office. Illingworth, who joined GCA's Warwick office in 2000, has worked in the industry since 1978. He has experience working on high profile projects across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Far East and Australia.
Mike Wilke has joined Hyder Consulting's executive board as global sector leader, energy & resources. Wilke recently led Parsons Brinckerhoff Americas' 5000 person business as chief operating officer. Prior to this he was the regional managing director for the Australian region.
Steve Sissons and Ken Hegarty have joined Mouchel's transport planning business. Sissons, a technical director, has more than 30 years' experience in undertaking transport assessments, travel plans and travel behaviour studies. Hegarty, an associate, has more than 10 years' local and overseas experience, having worked on various transportation and development planning studies, principally in the areas of sustainable travel, transport assessments, feasibility and modelling, economic appraisal, bus priority and cycle route design.
Mouchel's Urban Design Studio has made three key appointments. Based in Dublin, Dominick Comerford joins as senior urban designer and Cathal O'Meara as consultant urban designer. David Farnham joins as a London-based consultant urban designer.
