Give Deutsche Bahn our leftovers - Waterloo

I see from press reports that Deutsche Bahn is considering running rail services through the Channel Tunnel competing with Eurostar.
Before abandoning Waterloo International Terminal as a rail port of entry facility to the UK, as St Pancras takes over Eurostar services, should we not offer Waterloo International to Deutsche Bahn as their London destination.

It would make use of an existing excellent facility and maybe they would be agreeably surprised at how many London-bound travellers actually want to go to places like Whitehall or the City etc, which are much easier to get to from Waterloo rather than St Pancras.
