Getting on top

The current works are focused on maintaining the Demag joint across lanes one and two of the northbound carriageway. But at the same time the Agency is taking advantage of the lane closures to resurface the hard shoulder and lane one in advance of upcoming widening schemes in the Bristol area.

Of the total £900,000 project cost, around a third is being spent on the Demag joint, a third on resurfacing and a third on traffic management. Contractor is Lafarge with supervision by Atkins.
