Geotechnical specialists carry out seismic survey


Geotechnical specialists were carrying out a seismic survey to check for subterranean voids in streets around Thetford this week after a 3m deep crater opened on a road in the Norfolk town. Engineers were still trying to determine whether a burst water main caused the ground collapse, or was the result of it. A gas main was also shattered.
