Genivar to rebrand as WSP Global

Consultant Genivar WSP will be rebranded to WSP Global following the merger last year, the firm announced today.

The firm will be headquartered in Montreal and operate in more than 35 countries with over 15,000 staff but will drop Genivar from its name.

“WSP’s strong presence around the world and its global recognition in a number of market segments has led us to make the logical choice of changing the Genivar name to WSP,” said Genivar president Pierre Shoiry.

After the merger last year, the firm is unveiled structural changes that will be implemented from 1 January 2014. This is based around a global holding structure based in Montreal with separate regional subsidiaries.

Each of the head offices will be will be responsible for the day to day running of the firm and the corporate firm will not interfere with individual management of these subsidiaries.
