Galliford Try has been appointed to the team charged with delivering the £50M Halton Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme.
The group is the construction and investment partner of a partnership created with Hochtief PPP Solutions and Vinci – now the preferred bidder for the schools improvement contract.
Galliford Try will be responsible for the redevelopment of The Grange School in Runcorn as well as the redevelopment of Wade Deacon High School in Widnes, as part of a joint venture with Vinci.
Work will begin in April and should be completed by May 2013.
Galliford chief executive Greg Fitzgerald said: “We are delighted to secure this significant project which reflects our reputation and strong market presence within this sector.”
