ALL OF the NHS's £3bn a year hospital construction and maintenance programme is to operate under framework contracts within five years, NHS chief executive Kate Priestly said this week.
Framework contracts will initially be for work under £25M. They will run for a minimum of three years and a maximum of five, Priestly said. But the value of contracts will be increased as the programme advances.
'It will take up to five years to roll the programme out, ' Priestly stated.
'Ultimately we'll be letting all £3bn this way.'
