Foundation & Exploration Services

Foundation & Exploration Services has introduced the Terra-In rig, a small, lightweight machine for shallow soil investigations in restricted brownfield sites.

The rig is able to take soil samples and install shallow gas and groundwater monitoring wells inside buildings or in limited headroom. Primarily aimed at geoenvironmental monitoring on contaminated industrial sites, the rig is only 740mm wide, has an operating height of 2.5m and has a dual function head for rotary, rotary percussive and percussive drilling and other sampling techniques.
