Flooding project profile: Tregaron FAS, Dyfed

A detailed look at CPM’s work at Tregaron

Project Design:

Environmental improvement work at Tregaron on parts of the River Teifi, needed to enhance its ecology.

Challenges:

A solution that met the needs of local residents and planners that blended in with the environment with minimal disruption was required.

New flood walls constructed where necessary and existing walls that bordered the river were strengthened to provide an increased level of flood protection in Tregaron. Dredging of approximately 200 metres of the river to increase its capacity.

CPM Role:

To supply 540m2 of its big block Redi-Rock modular wall system, that is aesthetically pleasing and very fast to build. It is not only used for flood protection but also in earth retention, landscaping and hostile vehicle protection applications. CPM also specializes in flood prevention offering water storage, attenuation, flow control and treatment systems within their product and service range.
