First of three new coastal vessels delivered to Fugro

Fugro has expanded its near-shore capabilities with delivery of the first of three new offshore coastal survey vessels.

According to Fugro, the vessels are of the most advanced of their type and are designed for geophysical survey, light geotechnical work and environmental baseline surveys.

The first vessel - the Fugro Proteus - is capable of undertaking a wide range of survey, monitoring and inspection operations. The Proteus is 53m long and the vessel is capable of moon pool deployments.

Fugro has said that the three new offshore coastal survey vessels will be operating in different global regions and have been specifically adapted for the individual environments in which they will work.
