First call for contractors for £750M of airport work

Gatwick Airport is seeking contractors for up to £750M of work.

The Sussex transport centre advertised in the Official Journal of the European Union for companies to carry out engineering and construction works over the next five years.

Gatwick is launching a medium complexity framework for up to £600M of jobs worth between £1M and £10M each.

It is also setting up a low complexity panel for up to £150M of work in packages of up to £1.5M each.

Both frameworks will be split into three lots – for building; civil engineering; and mechanical and electrical work.

Contractors have until 6 October to express an interest in the work.
