Final demolition to finish M6 completion

The final major piece of demolition took place last week to complete the M6 extension from Carlisle to the Scottish borders. The Mossband viaduct has now been demolished, with the new motorway traffic taken over a new viaduct, built adjascent. The M6 completion is expected to open next month, in time for the 50th anniversary of the construction of the first motorway - the Preston bypass.
