Explosions close railway line

A number of explosions in a plastics factory near Slough caused chaos on the mainline from Paddington to Reading yesterday.
The train line runs through the middle of the plastics site where flames raged out of control.All services West were cancelled as a 200m exclusion zone was put in place while the factories gas cylinders cooled.Repairs to damaged cables were hoped to be completed before the start of the Monday service said a Network Rail spokesman.
