expansion at Gatwick Airport

A High Court judgement on Tuesday will force the government to include possible expansion at Gatwick Airport in its consultation about future airport provision in the south east of England. Medway District Council, Essex and Kent County Councils had sought the judicial review of the consultation process in their fight against outline proposals for massive expansion at Stansted and a new airport at Cliffe in Kent. Justice Kay ruled that excluding expansion options at Gatwick was 'irrational and unfair'.
