Esteem train

Letters

I have cared for the railways created by Brunel for most of my career and it makes me feel very proud in this bicentenary year. It also makes me jealous of the reputation of those railways, which were the first to achieve 200km/h in Britain in October 1976 - not the east coast route as suggested in the letters page last week!
