ESG launches geotechnical fieldwork app

ESG has announced the release of its new site information logging and storage (Silas) app, which is part of the company’s £1M investment in its IT infrastructure and will support investment in geotechnical services.

According to ESG, the Silas app offers customers an integrated collection, validation and handling system for all types of geotechnical fieldwork, allowing its engineers to send real time data gathered onsite to the laboratory.

The app was developed for ESG geotechnical clients and allows the company’s engineers to input and store a large amount of complex data regarding strata descriptions and site records, eliminating the risk of transcription errors to maximise data recording precision.

It is protected by multi-layered security and is integrated with a web-based portal system for online viewing of the site operations, validation and scheduling of off-site testing.
