Escort service

Letters

Mr Rochester (NCE letters 19 October) could try an 11 year old Ford Escort like mine. The face level vents admit cool air until the heater is turned really full on, apparently a deliberate feature according to the handbook.

I agree, this feature of separate cool and warm air circulation seems rare at least in normally priced cars and I have not tried others. I remember someone who ran a hose pipe from somewhere in front to the dash board of a Morris Minor, to achieve the same end.
