E&S board states its position

NEW DOCUMENTS produced by the Environment and Sustainability Board are now available. The board manages the production of ICE Environmental Position Statements.

These are designed to help practitioners and the wider public understand the key environmental issues that should be considered across a range of engineering disciplines.

The statements are regularly updated to reflect developments in Best Practice, law and regulation.

Two new position statements are available covering energy and contaminated land.

They can be obtained, free of charge, from Andrew Crudgington at Great George Street, tel (020) 7665 2219, via e-mail andrew.crudgington@ice.org.uk or from the ICE web site.

A number of new briefing sheets has also been produced covering: National Waste Management Strategy, Building a Better Quality of Life - DETR Strategy for Sustainable Construction, Development and Flood Risk, Planning Policy Guidance Note 25, Consultation Paper.

These are also free and are available from Emine Jarvis on (020) 7665 2230 or e-mail clare.hartley@ice.org.uk
