Entries invited for 2010 British Construction Industry Awards

Entries are invited for the 2010 British Construction Industry Awards, the UK’s top accolades for overall excellence in building and civil engineering projects. Full details and online entry is available at  www.bciawards.org.uk.  Closing date for entries is Thursday 15 April.

Awards will be made in 12 categories, plus the highly prestigious Prime Minister’s Better Public Building Award sponsored by CABE, the Office of Government Commerce and the Department Business, Innovation and Skills. Clients, architects, engineers, contractors and others are invited to put forward their projects whether large or small or from the public or private sector.

Each year the Awards attract entries representing the best buildings and civil engineering projects throughout the UK and overseas. Category sponsors are Arup, Atkins and Mott MacDonald.

The categories are:

  • Small Building Project up to £3M
  • Small Civil Engineering Project up to £3M
  • Building Project £3m - £50M
  • Civil Engineering £3m - £50M
  • Major Project over £50M

and the following special, complementary categories for projects of any size:

  • Best Practice Award
  • Local Authority Award
  • Environmental Award
  • Regeneration Award
  • Conservation Award
  • International Project
  • Judges ‘Special Award’

Plus The Prime Minister’s Better Public Building Award

The results will be announced at a Gala Awards Dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Wednesday 13 October.
