Entrance to One Great George Street to be closed

ICE news

The front entrance to One Great George Street will be closed from Monday 16 July until Monday 10 September to allow construction of its new disabled access. ICE is installing a 'Sesame' lift to allow wheelchair users to enter its London headquarters by the main doorway. The £200,000 project will see sections of the two flights of stone entrance steps cut out and two lifts installed. The steps will then be put back into position, but at the simple push of a button, they will retract to reveal the lifts (NCE 13/20 April 2006).

During this period entry to the building will be available via Storey's Gate.
