Enough hazardous waste landfill capacity in UK


Department for the Environment Food & Rural Affairs head of hazardous waste policy Andy Howarth said last week that there was enough hazardous waste landfill capacity in the UK despite the drop in the number of facilities from 200 to just eight in July this year. The reduction is a result of the ban on co-disposal of hazardous waste under the European landfill regulations.
