English Partnerships chairman Sir Alan Cockshaw said Sheffield is to host the fourth Urban Regeneration Company. URCs were born in Lord Rogers' Urban Task Force report to co-ordinate regeneration programmes. Liverpool, Wembley and East Manchester already have URCs and more will follow. South Shields and Greenwich are front runners to get them.
