Engineers sought for management prize

ICE members still have time to enter the Civil Engineering Manager of the Year Awards (CEMYA).
The aim of the competition is to celebrate individual excellence in Civil Engineering Management in all its facets.Past entrants have displayed managements skills in areas ranging from managing major projects to creating new business units. The competition's objective is to raise the profile of the civil engineering profession.The winner will receive a £5,000 cash prize, a year's subscription to the Chartered Management Institute and an ICE medal. The three runners-up each receive cash prizes of £1,000.Applications are sought from chartered civil engineers who are able to demonstrate excellent management skills, irrespective of the size or type of activity, project or employing organisation. Entrants must be able to show the tangible outcome from their management performance during the year preceding the closing date of entry.The application form and full information can be found on the ICE's website located at: Electronic submissions are preferred.
