Olympics construction chiefs and a former ICE boss are among the construction and engineering names rewarded in the New Year honours list.
Olympic Delivery Authority chairman John Armitt has received a knighthood – the highest honour – while director of construction Howard Shiplee was awarded a CBE.
Former ICE director general Tom Foulkes, who left his role in December and is now chairman of regeneration group Victoria Business Improvement District, has been given an OBE.
Highways Agency senior project manager Paul Arnold, who led the recently completed £371M Hindhead Tunnel project, was recognised with an MBE.
