Employer Review 2009

The Employer Review 2009 and the awards running alongside it will identify the best employers in the industry. Find out how to enter your company for both of them.

Welcome to the Employer Review area of the NCE website. Here you will find

  • details of the Review
  • downloadable forms to submit your entry for the listings
  • information on the Employer Review Awards, including guidance on entering and the list of judges

The Employer Review

The annual NCE Employer Review is a quick and easy way to compare different employers, their cultures and the opportunities they offer.

The purpose of the review is to demonstrate that the industry’s employers all have different characters and strengths, and to highlight what they have to offer to both existing and new employees.

It allows companies to set out their employment policies and back them up with real evidence, as well as highlighting the main benefits of being part of their organisation.

Get your company listed

To be listed, download the Employer Review questionnaire and return it by 23rd September to Olivia Horne or Jackie Whitelaw at NCE, Greater London House, Hampstead Road, London NW1 7EJ.

The Awards

Alongside the Employers Review is a series of awards that identifies and celebrates which companies are the best in the industry when it comes to different aspects of the working environment.

The six awards reflect the issues of highest importance to engineers when it comes to choosing (or staying with) an employer.

The awards categories are:

  • Best for career development
  • Best for valuing employees
  • Best for sustainable projects
  • Best for innovative projects
  • Best for corporate citizenship
  • Best for recognising technical talent

To enter the awards, select from the categories above and send us no more than two sides of A4 for each category explaining why you should win. Click here to download the guidelines for an explanation of each category and guidance as to what the judges are looking for.

You can enter by email or post. Put your name and contact details clearly on the top and indicate which category you are entering. Deadline for entries is 23rd September 2009.

Judging will take place in October, and shortlisted entrants will be asked to provide a maximum of three people for a brief interview to verify your entries.
