EC Harris and Mace to build world's tallest tower

The Jeddah Economic Company (JEC) has this week appointed a joint venture including consultants EC Harris and Mace to project manage the construction of the world’s tallest building the Kingdom Tower in Saudi Arabia.

The joint venture will provide design, commercial and project management for the $1.2bn (£790M) development. Standing at over 1,000m high JEC claim this will be the world’s tallest tower.

“We are delighted to be on the team to deliver this iconic project,” said EC Harris head of property and social infrastructure Keith Brooks.

“The Kingdom Tower is a landmark building that will clearly demonstrate Saudi Arabia’s ambitions to the world. We have a world class team in place and I am confident that our integrated approach to project, design and construction management will help deliver a safe and successful project.”

Construction is due to start later this year and is to be completed within 63 months.
