EA Grey buys first Doosan excavators

Cornish contractor EA Grey Civil Engineering Solutions has bought its first two Doosan crawler excavators from southwest dealer Kellands (Plant Sales).

The new Doosan DX140LC and DX225LC excavators are the first medium sized excavators that the contractor has bought. It owns a number of smaller excavators and previously hired in bigger machines when it needed them.

EA Grey managing director Tom Grey said: “The performance of the new excavators since they have arrived has more than exceeded all the high expectations we had when we made the purchases.”

The machines are both working on ScottishPower Renewables’ Carland Cross wind farm project near Newquay in Cornwall, where EA Grey is subcontractor to Balfour Beatty.
