Drop in centre

New train crew accommodation has been dropped into place by Mabey Construction at Morden underground station recently.

The two storey modular building units were fabricated by Yorkon in York. They arrived on site with glazing, internal partitioning, toilets, showers and plumbing in place.

During a 52-hour weekend possession the units were craned into position on a new 30m long bridge.

Mark Jordan, assistant project manager for London Underground says: 'The off site construction has helped us minimise the level of disruption to the operational railway.'
