Drilling specialist partnership improves equipment

Drilling equipment supplier Skelair has expanded its range of equipment with announcement of a new agreement with Sweden-based Driconeq.

Driconeq, which produces and distributes advanced drilling equipment, has developed a technique for making down the hole (DTH) drill pipes from high-quality steel, which is then tempered, giving them enhanced durability and extending lifespan by more than 50%. Skelair will stock down the DTH drill pipes in a wide range of sizes.

“Whether companies have hired or purchased a drill rig from us, consumables are a key part of keeping a rig operational,” explains Skelair managing director John Mayo. !We understand that a delay in sourcing and receiving the right tools and equipment can delay a project, and add to the expense. This is why we are committed to working with market leading manufacturers, like Driconeq, so we can continue to respond quickly to our customers and provide them with quality products.”
