DOWN TO EARTH

ICE President Roger Sainsbury is pictured with wife Susan (far right) and members of the East of Scotland local association on the site of the Dynamic Earth Centre in Edinburgh. The millennium project - which will showcase the history of the natural world since the 'big bang' - is due to open in May 1999. Right on the door step of the site for the new Scottish parliament, DEC is part of the Lothian and Edinburgh Enterprise project to regenerate the Holyrood area of Edinburgh. The contaminated British Gas site was cleaned up and is now being fashioned into an underground museum, and a seated arena at ground level covered by a fabric roof.
