Tunnelling specialist Delta Civil Engineering has just completed construction of a pumping station in Gloucester Docks near Bristol. The reinforced concrete structure is the first stage of a £1.8M contract for British Waterways which will allow the dock basin, and the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal to which it connects, to be topped up from the nearby River Severn.
