Our iPad edition is engineered for you

NCE’s iPad App goes from strength to strength, bringing you all the content from your weekly NCE with enhanced features and video content. NCE has now teamed up with leading plant firm Allu to bring you more interactive content and special supplements.

What’s new

The App has been updated to allow you to view the issue while still downloading, and latest issues now sit on the top shelf of the library. To continue to have access to new issues, you must update to the latest version.

Gaining popularity

Almost 1,000 NCE readers have now downloaded the App, which remains the only source of construction and
civil engineering news in the Apple App Store.

More available

In addition to your weekly NCE, you can also access a range of other publications such as NCE’s sister title European Foundations (EF). Recently relaunched, EF brings you news and in-depth features on complex geotechnical work from around Europe.

Still free

Thanks to Allu the App is still free to download, meaning you can always have your NCE with you.You can also use the App to find out more about Allu and its range of high quality screener crushers, stabilisation systems and compacting plates.

  • After some success with the NCE IPAD App, I can no longer download any NCEs successfully. On completion of the download bar, the IPAD blacks out for a second and the view reappears with just the download button again i.e without the view button adjacent to it. Would love to have this fixed so I can view again. I have reinstalled the APP with no success

  • Excellent app, but I have one question: how do you use the Scrapbook function? On tapping the link all I get is a message saying that there isn't anything in my Scrapbook yet. I'm inclined to think this would be a really useful tool of it lets you cut, paste and organise articles of interest.

  • Update to my last post 15.03.2013: Random icon tapping has led me to the solution re the Scrapbook, for the benefit of those who might not have stumbled across it themselves: although you can view Scrapbook items from the home Library or Latest pages, you can only create new items from within the Bookmarks process once you open an individual issue: tap the Bookmarks icon, and then the '+' button. You can then select any of the listed pages, enter a page description in the ensuing dialogue box if you wish (perhaps the issue date and page number, as these do not appear on the page itself) and tap the Bookmark or Scrapbook icon to create the appropriate item. You need to create the Bookmarks and Scrapbook items separately. Your pages will then appear in the Bookmarks listing or or on the Scrapbook page. Happy scrapping!
