Infrastructure Insight | Winter 2017

Our special report aimed at helping civil engineers understand the business of civil engineering

001 mcginley

This report, produced by New Civil Engineer with McGinley Support Services, is designed to aid engineers charged with managing and delivering infrastructure projects in the current uncertain climate. It highlights issues affecting six key areas: economics and workload; social and employment; legal and compliance; the political landscape; technological change; and the environment.

The report – the second in a regular series – covers new challenges facing the civil engineering workforce – changing tax rules for the self employed, Brexit, health and safety legislation, project insurance and the need to improve literacy and increasing emphasis on environmental mitigation.
