Getting prickly London Underground staff to appreciate the value of the privately financed Tube upgrade has never been easy, and it seems more work needs to be done. A world weary announcer at one of London's busiest Underground stations this week told browbeaten passengers: 'We apologise to customers but we are unable to issue tickets at this station. This is due to a wonderful new ticket machine installed by the PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP.
