DfT must adhere to its new four month limit


The Department for Transport (DfT) has failed to give a strategic lead in the development of light rail, a transport committee report concluded this week.

The report criticised the lengthy approvals process for projects, saying the DfT must adhere to its new four month limit for considering schemes. DfT Guidance on best practice in procurement tendering and project management has been promised.
