Design work for the one of the world heaviest cable stay bridges, the double deck rail and motorway Tianzingzhou cable stay has been awarded to French consultant Systra by the Chinese Ministry of Railways. The bridge will carry four lines of 250km/h trains across the Yangtse River on the first phase of the Guanzhou-Wuhan line and a six lane motorway on a top deck. Main span will be 504m and overall length 4,657m.
