ONLY ONE month is left to complete entries for Imperial College's design predictions competition (Ground Engineering June 1999).
Imperial estimates 30-60 organisations have the competition pack. Very few have chosen to access the information anonymously, and given the quality and range of interested groups (consultants, contractors and academics) hopes are high for a fascinating and well supported event. Closing date for entries is 3 September.
The winner will be announced at a predictions symposium, one of the highlights of the Geotechnics in the New Millennium event organised by Imperial College's geotechnical group, which runs from 15-17 September, marking the 50th anniversary of the Soil Mechanics DIC/MSc.
Further information on the competition can be obtained from Fin Jardine at CIRIA, tel 0171 222 8891, or from the competition web site at www.geocentrix.co.uk/IC50
